My initial goals:

Needs that have been met with my Personal Trainer:
I had always been pretty good at doing cardio but would go through spurts where I would work out 7 days a week or then if I had a bad eating day or night then I would not work out for a week or more. I was always intimidated by weights and would rather just do my cardio and nothing else. I would love having set appointments 2 times weekly to lift. It wasn't as intimidating with someone to show me what to do, what muscles are being worked and months later to start seeing results in muscle tone. I keep track of my cardio exercise, what I ate, and weight lose. Bill would look these things over every week and it helped me to feel accountable and more motivated. I learned about portion sizes, that protein was good for you and to eat more regulray with 5 small meals a day. At first it was hard to make myself eat snaks during the day. It took a little planning to make sure I had good snakes at work and packed my lunches. Bill gave excellent ideason differnt foods and ways to make things healthier, things that I have carried on in everyday life.
At the begining I didn't want to feel overwhelmed by how much weight I wanted to loose. My initial goal was 30lbs. Once I hit the mark, the weight just kept coming off because of my new eating habits,cardio and weight lifting. One thing I love is t that I now take one day off a week and know I can still maintain my weight, which I have done for a year and half now. Also,Bill taught me to not focus on weight, it is about body fat percentage. I don't rely on the scale anymore to determine my happiness, it is all about how you feel, and my body tells me when I need to kick it up a notch or to slow down. I am so much happier now and feel so good about my workouts and myself. It is fun to see the results in the mirror! I saw Bill as a part of the woman on weights that a friend told me about and had joined. Not only Have I had a great results but I also made a really great friend. We continue to see Bill every 4-5 months to get a new workout so that we don't get burnt out and give our body something new.
My biggest suggestion to others is to get into a routine of when you work out and get a partner to meet few days a week. It is easier to be held accountable to meet someone and you know the other person is counting on you too. Also,so many woman are focused on pounds lost and it can be frustrating when you feel like you are working so hard and the results are slow. I found it easier to judge my results on the way I felt about myself,how my body was feeling and how my clothes were feeling on me rather then basing everything on the scale because muscle weighs more then fat. I knew when I was doing well with my eating and exercise and you deep down inside know you cant fool yourself that you were eating healthy or working out hard,etc.

Needs that have been met by my Personal Trainer:
I lost 5 1/2 percent body fat lowering my weight by 35 lbs. I was able to get into the mind set of consistency to continue my program. I now understand this is a permanent lifestyle change. Additional I went from exercising not at all to exercising all the time. And I was able to decrease my clothes size from 16 to 10 in five and a half months. Moreover,I've learned to take the stairs instead of elevators. I like to go shopping now and clothes actually fit. Before the clothes did not fit right. The waist would and hips not and visa versa. I like not covering my mid section and more while wearing my bathing suit. I can wear 2 piece suit now and not loose fitting one piece. Now I can show a little skin and feel sexy while doing it. I don't care who is looking now and I hope they are. That is real reward of completing my training program. When I went into my doctor he even took a double take to see if it was me.
Having a personal trainer has made a difference for me:
My husband always thought I should exercise. With his support along with Bills great training I was able to accomplish anything I put my mind too. MY trainer gave me the courage to succeed and never give up. During the middle of our program Bill had to sit me down and re-focus me on my diet program. I had a tough time with the nurtrional program and he expressed how crutial that it was repeatable. Well,after I finally listented I noticed marketable changes in weight and strength. And now here I am thirty-five pounds lighter and 6-8 sizes smaller. Now I tell everyone to exercise and to encourage them to choice Bill Hermanson as their Trainer.

At age 35, i weighed 253, had high blood pressure and my doctor told me something had to change. I started working with Greg in January of 2007. Over the next year, I lost 60 lbs 6 inches off my waist and am off ALL of my medications. I actually wear a smaller size now than when I was in high school! Greg has given me constant encouragement. I can't put a price on what he has given back to me. He has taught me what I need to stay fit; he has taught me how to change my lifestyle. My latest goal was to run a half marathon in April-I finished it UNDER my goal time. I have never been in this good of shape!
